London, Newnes, circa 1938. SECOND ISSUE OF FIRST EDITION circa 1938, 8vo, mid blue cloth, black lettered spine, 252 pages, no illustrations. Spine a touch faded, a couple of small pale stains to lower cover, edges and prelims faintly foxed, 2 small ink initials stamped on front endpaper, very occasional slight foxing to margins, a couple of small corner creases, a few inner joints cracked but binding tight and firm. A very good plus copy (lacking dw). The first issue of (1937) had GILT LETTERING on the spine and Newnes' address in full on the title page.
