Letter from William Aldis Wright to E. L. Lushington concerning the first publication of Edward Fitzgerald's correspondence.
Trinity College Cambridge 11 Nov 1889 - 8 vo., 3 pages, holograph, approx. 250 words, complete with original mailed envelope & postmark dated 1889. An interesting letter written to E. L. Lushington from the editor of Edward Fitzgerald's newly published correspondence (3 vols., 1889). Lushington has queried a passage to which Wright responds by declaring it to be printed exactly as Fitzgerald wrote it. He continues with references to a quotation from Keats' 'Endymion', undertaking to supply an explanatory footnote to the quoltation in a second edition.
