Dublin: Printed by William McKenzie. 1793. Second Edition, iv,124pp., 5 folding plates, clean tear to fold of first plate, signature of D. Ryan, TCD, 1807 at head of title, and a number of notes in his hand, including diagrams, suggesting he attended Stack's lectures, cont. half russia, gilt, over marbled boards, most likely a Dublin binding. Rev. John Stack (1760-1813), entered Trinity College Dublin in 1777, made a fellow in 1784, secretery of the Royal Irish Academy from1789 to 1791. A handbook intended for Dublin University undergraduates on the laws of reflection and refraction, the nature of vision and the construction of telescopes and microscopes.
