HARDBACK, later quarter-morocco with decoratively blind-embossed calf boards, raised bands, gilt decoration and lettering on spine, pages iv, 551, 46, x, all edges red speckled, 1 large folding map of Northamptonshire, engraved plates 14, sm. folio. (8.75" x 13.5"), bookplate and small stamps for the Law Society, armorial bookplate for "St. John Percivale Baronet, of Burton in the County of Cork in Ireland", on verso of title-page, some minor spotting to end-papers, slight marginal browning, not affecting text, small tear in centre fold of map repaired, covers worn with some loss on fore-edges, spine slightly rubbed, upper hinge splits repaired, otherwise an extremely rare item in fine condition internally. 2.8Kg.
