The History of the Ancient Town of Cirencester
Cirencester - S. Rudder, 1800 Book. Very Good. Hardcover. A fascinating piece of early topography divided into two parts focusing on the ancient state, and the modern and present state. Second edition. Featuring seven illustrated plates, a frontispiece of a plan of cirencester, and a folding plan of Oakley Great Park, as it was when it belonged to Henry Earl Bathurst. Condition: Rebacked with a calf spine, and original tree calf boards. Externally, lightly rubbed and wear to extremities. Spine is smart. Internally, firmly bound with reasonably bright leaves, generally clean, aside from the odd spot and off-setting. Copperplate ink inscription to title page. Overall: VERY GOOD..
