Edinburgh and London: William Blackwood and Sons 1897 - Limited edition, no. 126 of 350 copies signed by the author. Small 4to. xvi, 474 pp. Publisher's cream buckram, gilt lettered to the spine and the gilt crests of the Cambridge University Cricket Club and Sussex (two of the the author's first class sides) to the upper board, top edge gilt, the others untrimmed. Barring a few light marks, a very good, bright copy. Photographic frontispiece portrait of the author and 115 photographic plates, including 22 photogravures, plus 15 plans of field settings. Captain of Sussex CCC & a regular member of the England side, Ranjitsinhji ".popularized India with the British public which knew him as perhaps the greatest cricketer of his generation" (DNB).
