London: George Allen and Unwin, 1949. First Impression. A very good clean hardback in pale orange boards with blue motif. Very slight bump to top corners. Decorated endpapers have darkened slightly to margins. A couple of very minor foxing spots to front endapers only - text block is clean and bright. Binding square and tight. Unclipped dustwrapper (original price 6s. net) has been reinforced with clear tape to top edge of spine both externally and internally and also in a couple of places internally where there are small closed tears but no chipping or losses. Embellished by Pauline Baynes with two full page two tone plates and line illustrations. 79 pages. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good +.
