Dick, Edinburgh.Plummer and Brewis, Printers, Love Lane, Eastcheap. 1815 - Size of the binding: 5 3/4 inches x 9 1/4 in., engraved, colored title-page, with reverse blank, the final plate (30) "Landing in Elba", is here bound in as a frontispiece (this shows the imprint & date trimmed); pp. [1]-260 (with these pages misnumbered: 107 for 109, 453 for 253). With 30 colored plates (two are in reverse order: 18 & 19; three show the imprint and date on the fore-edges trimmed away: 10, 23, 24, as does 30). Bound in full crimson levant by Morrell of London, with their gilt stamp. With five raised bands on the spine, gilt-lettered titling, and Napoleonic devices in compartments, these devices are also featured in the front & back cover corners, with triple gilt fillet borders around the covers, gilt borders on cover edges, and with inner gilt dentelles, pink endpapers, headbands, top-edge gilt, other edges are untrimmed. In a red cloth-covered slipcase with red leather facing on the front edges, tan felt lining, silk pull ribbon. The plate images have transfered to the facing text, some plates show light, scattered foxing, a few show dusting or rubbing to the fore-edge margins, generally, the colors are quite bright.
