A Ball-Players Career: Being the Personal Experiences and Reminiscences of Adrian C. Anson, Late Captain of the Chicago Baseball Club
Era Publishing, Chicago 1900 - First edition, first issue binding with spine lettering 3/16" tall. Illustrated with photographs. Light and neat contemporary gift inscription, tiny pinhead sized rub spot on the spine, a little modest soiling, and the front hinge neatly repaired, a nice, very good plus copy of "Cap" Anson's autobiography, a book that appears infrequently. This is a much nicer copy than the three others that have appeared at auction in the past quarter century. Anson was perhaps the greatest player of the Nineteenth Century, and this is a keystone title for any early baseball collection. See this book in 3D on our site. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
