The complete book with 280 pages, 51 full-page engraved plates after Pierre-Auguste Renoir with the imprinted tissue guards; + an original etching by Renoir "Femme Nue" (also titled "Baigneuse Assise", (Delteil / Stella 11), with Renoir's stamped signature; + full-page color lithograph "Les Sirènes" by Auguste Clot after Renoir. There also are numerous reproductions of artist's works. Text in French. Bound in period 1/2 cream morocco over boards with leather label; both original wrappers bound in; top edge gilt (now slightly dull, as usual); a very short expertly repaired tear on the bottom margin of one page, but overall a superb copy in a period decorative slipcase; 13 x 10 in.
