Contemporary panelled calf, upper joint splitting, but holding very firm, spine ends very slightly chipped. *** A good copy of the first English edition of this account of the Spanish conquest and subsequent colonisation of Peru, difficult to find in commerce. Includes much on the habits and customs of the Incas. Cieza de Léon was a Spanish soldier who spent the years 1532 to 1552 with the Spanish armies in the Americas. Sabin 13056; cf.
