A beautiful collection of British poetry with numerous engravedillustrations throughout and with decorative titles and borders to each page. Two volumes bound in one. George Barnett Smith, 1841 - 1909, was an English author and journalist. 'Smith was a thorough chronicler of his age. . . He also wrote lives of Shelley (1877) and Victor Hugo (1885), and several works on poets, travel, Victorian heroes, and women. As Guy Roslyn he published verse'. Condition: In a decorative cloth binding. Externally, sound with some bumping and wear to extremities. With fading and wear to spine. Hinges tender. Internally, generally firmly bound. Bright but with slight scattered spotting and marks to pages. With tidemarks not affecting text to margin of some pages. Overall: GOOD.
