Rome - Giuseppe Nave, 1793. Rome - Giuseppe Nave, 1793 Book. Very Good. Hardcover. Three poems, Il Mattino and Il Mezzogiorno by poet Parini, and a continuation in his style, Le Sera, by Mutinelli. Scarce, ina fine binding, and from the library at Newton Hall. Bound in half leather and marbled paper-covered boards, with gilt lettering and blindstamped decoration. With an engraved title page. Giuseppe Parini, 1729 1799, was an Italian Enlightenment satirist and poet of the neoclassic period. Condition: The binding is tight and firm. The front hinge is cracked, and the rear hinge is starting, but still firm. There is some wear to the extremities, including some rubbing, with slight loss to the spine. Internallythe pages are generally clean and bright, with slight browning to the edges, prominent to the first and last few pages, and the occasional spot. Overall the condition is good only, witha very good interior..
