Original gray cloth with gilt lettering, color photo mounted on front board. No dust jacket. Corners very slightly bumped, mild rubbing to top and bottom edges of boards. Internally clean and sound. As described in the Preface, "the first part of this book is a description of our study of the architecture of the commercial strip. Part II is a generalization on symbolism in architecture and the iconography of urban sprawl. Part III describes the work of Venturi and Rauch from 1965 to mid-1971."
