New York, 1944 - One full page, typed letter on Helen Keller's personal stationery; addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Hanson and dated June 24, 1944. The letter, soliciting donations for financial support for the American Foundation for the Blind, is SIGNED in ink in Keller's hand. At the time, Keller had been working for the AFB for twenty years (as she states in the letter). The letter describes the experience of being without sight and extols the virtues of the organization. Lightly creased where previously folded in quarters, otherwise fine. [Attributes: Signed Copy]
