Kofoid (1865-1947) was an American zoologist known for his collection and classification of many new species of marine protozoans which established marine biology on a systematic basis. Vol. 1.1 (front hinge cracked) and 1.2, 827pp.; Vol. 2.1 and 2.2 (front hinge cracked), 989pp.; Vol. 3.1 and 3.2, 1,097pp. Professor Gravenhorst (1777-1857), is the author of a great monograph on the Ichneumon Flies (Ichneumonologia Europaea), one of the most difficult and extensive groups of insects.
