A map of South America containing Tierra-Firma, Guayana (sic!), New Granada, Amazonia, Brasil,Peru, Paraguay, Chaco, Tucuman, Chili and Patagonia, from Mr d'Anville
Ldn., Sayer, 1787.. Ldn., Sayer, 1787.. 1st of July 1787 [as the Act Directs] The image measuring approximately 49.0 x 115.0 cm. Contemporary handcolouring in outline. Large cartouche with animals, landscape with stone buildings, trees, an Indian on top of a tree, waterfalls and gold coins. 2 sheets put together by means of a back-strip. On folds some small damaged spots, some small tears in margins and a bit of inobtrusive browning/staining in places. ΒΆ This map NOT in Phillips, A List of Maps in the Library of Congress. It probably forms part of a very large map consisting of 6 sheets of entire South-America.
