Edinburgh: Thos. Brown c 1805 - 12mo. Original drab boards, printed paper labels to the spine and upper boards, brief contemporary inscription to the head of the title page, a more recent ownership inscription to the first free endpaper. 89 leaves, comprising 176 pages of strip maps, mostly two to a page, and a final folding leaf with maps on both sides, the volume concludes with an 8 pp. index. Front joint cracked, but strings holding, some light wear to extremities. First published in 1776, this is an attractive later edition on a reduced scale.
