Fine in a near fine dust jacket that shows very light wear. Basis for the award winning film starring Yves Montand and Irene Pappas and directed by Costa Gavras.Vassilis Vassilikos was exiled after the 1967 military coup, where he spent the next seven years. Afterwards he came to serve as the general manager of the Greek state television channel ET1, then as the ambassador to UNESCO. Vassilikos is prolific and widely-translated, having published more than 100 books, novels, plays, and poetry. His best known work is the political novel Z (1967).
