Kanti / Who was good enough to ask me to sign this, and also because for some reason he seems to like this play / George S. Kaufman / January 1947," and "To Mr. Kanti / With best wishes / Moss Hart." Tipped-in at the dedication page is a clipped signature of Alexander Woollcott (the book's dedicatee).& & Basis for the 1942 film directed by William Keighley and starring Bette Davis, Ann Sheridan, and Monty Woolley, as well as basis for a revival television film in 2000.& & About Near Fine in a Near Fine dust jacket. Spine ends lightly bumped and toned, and very faint dampstains at the top page edges. Jacket extremities moderately toned, light rubbing overall.
