London: Phaidon Press Ltd, 1974. 174pp, illustrated throughout in colour and black and white. De-luxe edition limited to 525 copies of which 150 are bound in full aniline finish bookcalf, supplied by J. Hewit and Sons Ltd., Edinburgh. Of these, 125 are for sale and numbered 1-125, twenty-five are 'hors commerce' and are lettered A-Z. This copy is lettered 'G'. The whole edition is signed by David Wynne (this copy, on 1/2 title) and the leather-bound edition is accompanied by a medallion in fine silver, modelled by the sculptor, struck by Johnson Matthey Metals Ltd., London, marked with the maker's mark of Gerald Benney, and assayed and hallmarked at the London Assay Office. This edition has been bound by Lund Humphries, Bradford. Some light edge rubbing, slight bumping to spine head, some dark staining to parts of upper spine and top edge. Top edge of pages gilt. Marks to spine aside, a VG tight copy of a very scarce edition. Heavy book, extra shipping may be required to non-UK address. . Signed by Illustrator. Limited/Numbered. Full-Leather. Nr VG/No Jacket. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall.
