Complete in 3 volumes.Books measure 11x9 inches, (28x23mm) Collation, xliv551pp, xiv[2]624pp, xv[1]665,[7],[20]pp, 1pp errata, 28 maps, plans some folding, and engravings, some coloured, complete as listed. Bound in full period calf, raised bands, gilt tooling within compartments, gilt rule lines and blind dentelles to boards, full marble edges, marble endpapers. At some time, not recentley these volumes have been rebacked retaining most of the original spine. Calf light rubbed, some scuff wear on edges and bands with minor loss, very short minor split to one hinge joint. All 3 bindings in very good clean firm condition. Internally, some offsetting or browing mainly to engravings and following page. Pages and plates in good condition throughout. A very nice copy, in very attractive period bindings. A11. First Edition. Full Calf. Very Good. Large Quarto.
