Original brown cloth, titles and decoration to spines and front board in gilt and black, brown coated endpapers. Housed in a grey cloth slipcase. Ends and corners lightly rubbed, some hinges superficially starting with occasional expert and nearly invisible repair but all holding strong, leaves a little toned but all in excellent condition. Gottsberger published Tolstoy's masterpiece as a trilogy of individual two volume novels, issued separately in uniform cloth at $1.75, which together form the complete work. An exceptionally nice set.
