- Lake Placid, 1932 [1932] 4to, 291 p., blue textured boards with emblem of Olympic goddess on front board, spine lettered in gilt. The official record of the first Winter Olympics held in the United States. The ceremonies were opened by FDR; the United States would win the medal count (12 total) and Canada would win its fourth consecutive gold medal in hockey. Numerous B&W photographs of the courses and athletes throughout Pressure indentation verso of front board underneath Olympic emblem; some light waviness to text block margins throughout, small nick to rear spine joint, spine gilt almost illegible; light soiling and edgewear to boards and spine tips but a clean copy overall of a scarce item.
