Porter, a halve page of text, and many more contributions such as: Medical applications of Röntgen's discovery. 3/4 pp., one figure, etc. Contemporary burgundy buckram binding.* The first English edition of Röntgen's "Ueber eine neue Art von Strahlen" and one of the great discoveries science, for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1901. We offer the complete vol. 53 with 664 pp., and numerous figures, and several other papers with new discoveries and applications based on the discovery of x-rays, or Röntgen rays. The original German text was published in 1895 in the "Sitzungsberichte der physichen-medicinischen Gesellschaft in Würzburg". Overall this is a very good copy in a contemporary binding.
