The tale follows Yam, the Sweet Potato daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Potato, as she is warned about the many hazards of life, such as getting "Mashed" and ending up with "a bunch of Tater tots," or "the greasy guys from France called the French Fries." With four illustrations of Yam and other personified examples of potatoes. Bound in "mashed potatoes (cotton linters) and gravy (brown leather)," according to the colophon. Fine in brown paper-covered chemise and slipcase. (2 3/4 by 2 7/16; 72x61mm).
