New York: American News Company, 1865. First Edition. Wraps. Very good. Approx. 7.25" x 4.5" stitched wraps. 12 pages. Black border and title on the front wrap. All text bordered in black. Condition is very good with light toning to contents. This pamphlet is one of the earliest (if not the first) published account of the Assassination of President Lincoln. It was published hours after Lincoln's death on April 15th. The pamphlet announces the erroneous death of William Seward who survived his attack but does not mention the pursuit and death of John Wilkes Booth. 59 copies located in OCLC. Scarce in the trade.
