Corridan Graddon, UK 1986 - Signed by Author and Illustrator. THIS EDITION IS LIMITED TO 50 SIGNED COPIES. Signed & Dedicated 'Best Wishes Malcolm May 86 Corrie.' Volume Five from the series. The 30 Etchings are from sketches made by the author & etched upon copper plates. Gilt illustrations to front paste down and free front end paper. The inks are specially prepared from dry colour - heavy & light French black, with added cinder. Printed entirely by hand throughout, from the Graddio Press, St. Albans - Hertfordshire - England. Contents, clean, bright and tightly bound. Scarce. Corridan (Corrie) Graddon, born in 1932, apprenticed in London in 1947 as a relief engraver and die sinker. He joined the Sun in 1956, to work in monochrome and colour engraving. He worked at the Sun for 26 years, leaving in 1982. He became a successful print-maker, exhibiting in the Mall Galleries and in the Royal Academy summer exhibitions. He has printed and published books of his etchings on such subjects as St. Albans, Lemsford, Impressions, Cricket, and The Thames. Size: 12 inches tall by 10 inches.
