MARSHALL, SIGNED BY THE ENTIRE CAST--18 CAST MEMBERS IN ALL, including James Barton, Paul Crabtree, Frank Tweddell, Duddly Digges, Ruth Gilbert, and Charles Hart. O'Neill was the first American dramatist to regard the stage as a literary medium and set the pace for the blossoming of the Broadway theatre. Through his efforts, the American theatre grew up during the 1920s, developing into a cultural medium that could take its place with the best in American fiction, painting, and music. Although he won three Pulitzer Prizes for earlier plays, and a posthumous one for "A Long Day's Journey into Night," we think "Iceman" has remained his most famous and most critically acclaimed play. Recipient's name on pastedown, under the dust jacket flap. Spine ends and edges lightly rubbed, otherwise near fine in about very good dust jacket with few scratches on spine, which is also rubbed at bottom and nicked and rubbed at head (not affecting any lettering).
