There is no date of publishing but it appears to be in the early 1940's as it is a wartime edition "produced under wartime conditions". There is a small round hole to the paper on the front page edges. The copyright, by Dodd, Mead& Co. is 1920. The pictorial dust jacket has a chip to the lower front corner but it is protected with a mylar jacket and remains in Very Good+ condition.In this mystery, an elderly woman is found dead with a coffee cup beside her bed. There is no evidence of poison. Her son is anxious to clear up the web of damaging evidence surrounding him.
