London: David Bogue. 1852. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. H Hard Cover. Very Good. Collection of Longfellow poems from 1852 in a fine binding with foredge painting of a view of Boston from Bunker Hill. View includes people and cattle in the foreground, the bridge across the Charles River with sailing ship(s), city in the distance. Tan fine morocco leather with deeply impressed Victorian designs, raised spine bands with decorated compartments, gilt spine lettering, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers, ribbon bookmark. Minimal external wear, firm binding, three armorial bookplates typed slip describing the painting all mounted on the front endpapers, armorial stamp on copyright page, pages clean with some foxing to the frontis portrait. Bookplates are those of: W. Borlase, M.A.; Mary E. Cady-Borlase; Glenn Tilley Morse.
