"In this autobiographical work the author describes his life and experiences in his native Anglesey and London, and visits he made to Austria, France, Italy. Greece, Holland, Scotland, Ireland and Patagonia. Word portraits of people and places abound, painted with the sharp eye for the gestures and foibles of character and the essence of place which one expects from an artist. A substantial portion of the book is devoted to the artist's extended visit to Patagonia in the 1960's.Although the title explains that the book is about the artist's life away from his roots, in the last chapter on his return to live in Angelsey at Pwllfanogl, a more familiar sky is again found to be laden with characters and visual and personal satisfaction." . A Lovely copy with an 'Added Extra' - GIFT QUALITY. SEE IMAGES. (Please note the main Amazon Image shows a later issue edition/dustjacket) ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; Signed by Author [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
