The Island of Sheep. A Richard Hannay Novel
London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1936. FIRST EDITION. 8vo. Publisher's green cloth in pictorial dustwrapper. Book is rubbed to extremities, slightly dulled to spine, a few marks and scuffs. Wrapper has some small chips and tears, particularly to head of spine, and minor marking. Very good indeed, clean and sharp. The final novel to feature the adventurous government agent (Sir) Richard Hannay, the author's most enduring character first introduced in 'The Thirty Nine Steps'. Blanchard. See also Haining; Crime Fiction p.193-4.
