To which is added, a curious piece written in the Reign of King James 1. and never before printed, intitled, A Brief Discovery of some things best worth Noteinge in the travels of Nicholas Withington, a Factor in the East-Indiase.In full contemporary brown leather with lots of blind tooling, boxed style, leather separating at front cover edge, edges and corners bumped and worn. Spine worn and faded, raised bands, edges bumped, full length leather crack to joints both sides of spine. Internally, lacks MAP and fep, title page is a little dirty and there is a small piece been cut from top corner (signature?), some light water staining to first and last few pages lower half, internally VG, (viii), 349 pp, [3] adverts, published again under another title in 1773/90 and 94. Very rare, even in this condition. ’A briefe discoverye’ has a separate titlepage with the imprint: London: printed in the year 1734. (ESTC T113803. Sabin 14095. Field 336)
