Coleccion de Decretos, Ordenes y Circulares Espedidas por Los Gobiernos Nacionales de la Federacion Mexicana, Desde el Ano de 1821, Hasta el de 1826: Para el Arreglo del Ejercito de los Estados-Unidos Mexicanos, y Ordenadas por el Teniente Coronel de Caballeria. Mexico City: Marin Rivera, 1827. 355 pp. Forms. 15 folding tables. Quarto (8" x 5-1/2"). Contemporary tree sheep, lettering piece and gilt fillets to spine. Some rubbing to extremities, corners bumped, small chip to head of spine, chipping to edges of lettering piece. Moderate toning to text, faint stains to margins of a few leaves, internally clean. A nice copy. * Only edition. A compilation from the period of the First Mexican Republic, it is a useful source of information concerning the legal framework that governed the Mexican military from 1824 to 1846. The collection is notable for its omission of the harsher laws of the Mexican Empire of Agustin de Iturbide, which preceded the establishment of the republic. OCLC locates 4 copies in North American law libraries (Duke, Harvard, University of Michigan, University of Minnesota).
