Ford Madox Ford: Parade's End (The "Tietjens" Novels): Some Do Not/ No More Parades/ A Man Could Stand Up/ The Last Post
London Seltzer/Boni 1924-8 - A set of first edition, first American printings published by Thomas Seltzer/Boni between 1924 and 1928. All are in very good+ condition (without dust wrappers). Small name to the front endpaper of 'The Last Post', but no inscriptions in the other books. Some edge rubbing. Set between the dying days of the Edwardian era and the end of World War I, "Parade's End" follows the conflicted relationship between conservative English aristocrat Christopher Tietjens, his beautiful but headstrong wife, Sylvia, and fearless young suffragette Valentine Wannop. Acclaimed playwright and screenwriter Tom Stoppard ("Empire of the Sun," "Shakespeare in Love") adapted the miniseries from these four novels. Rarely offered as a set. [Attributes: First Edition]
