Richmond: A. Morris, Chas. H Wynne, Printer, 1861. First Edition. Hardcover. Good +. 12mo. x, 11-284pp. Half leather with gilt title on dark leather spine. Blueish marbled paper covered boards. First edition, first issue. End sheets used for inscriptions and a few scribbles. Names located on front paste down J Johnson Bank (spelling?), right front end sheet N L Flaisail (spelling?) and Clinton Samples (spelling?). Verso of right front end sheet appears to be an inscription of some sorts. The following front blank end sheet has a more clear inscription; "Henry C. Barbee 1(st) Co. K 5th Cavl Paynes Brigade Lees Division Hamptons Corp ANV." Some pen marks vi-ix. Both rear end sheets also have some sort of lengthy inscription that is difficult to read. Parrish & Willingham 4796.
