Published by Hodder & Stoughton, 1912. 2nd edition.. Hardback. Very Good. Illustrated by Dulac, Edmund. Slightly better than very good condition with no wrapper. Pale olive-green cloth binding, stamped with elaborate gilt design of art noveau style Snow Queen. Gilt titles and decorations to spine. Endpapers printed in pale green with design of stylised peacocks. 28 wonderful tipped-in colour plates mounted on white and framed at plate's edge with pale green borders. Guard sheets decorated with green pineapples and text pages banded with pale green snowflake borders. A beautifully presented book. Still encased in original green box, which has heavy signs of wear; parts of top cover are missing; some tears etc. Book has a couple of spots to spine. Corners are lovely and sharp; gilt is beautifully bright! All plates present. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and some page margins. A lovely example of this book! [S]
