United Nations News; report on the United Nations and its related agencies (1946-1949 issues with indices)
New York: Woodrow Wilson Foundation, 1946. KAVE. 1946-1949. All issues: cream paper wraps, stapled, with multiple pages and black type. No illustrations. The United Nations News, published monthly during 1946 - 1949 by the Woodrow Wilson Foundation, had as its mission the promotion of information concerning the meetings of the United Nations. Each month's News presented several articles about the chief activities of the UN and others listed in the deparement, "Notes of the Month." "People in the News" was devoted to personality sketches of the leading figures at the meetings. Suggestions for further reading were included. The publication offered an opportunity for every citizen to keep up with world events. This run begins with January 1946 (Vol. I, No. I) and ends with October 1949 (the last issue published). Included in this run are several duplicates (most of 1948 and a few others), but the February 1946 issue is missing. Mostly good and clean but with age toning. Some copies a bit fragile, and the very bottoms of the 1946 run pages are badly chipped in middle. Missing one issue.
