Brave New World
Garden City: Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc, 1932. First American Edition. One of 250 copies numbered and signed by the author. Octavo (22cm); brown paper over boards, quarterbound in black cloth and stamped in gilt at the spine and front cover; top edge gilt; 311pp. Hint of a lean, with gilt at the top edge and spine panel slightly dulled, and some moderate, intermitent wear to the paper along the board edges resulting in some minor exposure. A clean, solid Very Good+ copy, lacking the original slipcase (as are nearly all copies) but with a later custom cloth slipcase included. Huxley's best-known work, a Connolly 100 title, and one of the 20th century's great dystopias.
