London: Jonathan Cape 1964, 1st Edition. () 319,[1]pp. Fine in fine dust jacket. Small Ocatvo in original stamped black cloth, with blue stamped decoration on front and gilt lettering on spine. Decorative black endpapers. Possible signature of previous owner in ink on title page (possibly reads RM Pach). Dust jacket has a little bit of creasing on the back and spine. A cold war espionage thriller that was made into a movie in 1966 starring Michael Caine and directed by Guy Hamilton. The plot of the book was later used in an episode of the 1973 TV series, Jason King. A very rare copy as it's been inscribed by the author on title page. Inscription reads, "For Barry Zeman(?) with all my best wishes, Len Deighton". Series: Secret File No. 3..
