Vol. 3 an edition of 650 copies; this is 591. Vol. 4 an edition of 750 copies; this is 591. Vol. 5 an edition of 1400 copies; this copy not numbered. Red cloth. Vol. 4 has a faded spine. First three volumes have ink signature of former owner on front free endpaper. The diary of Simeon Perkins (1735 - 1812), Nova Scotia merchant, diarist and politician, is a vital source for historians studying colonial Nova Scotia. His home in Liverpool is now owned by the provincial government and open to the public. These volumes include pictures of this house as well as a newspaper clipping illustrating how it was used to celebrate National Forestry Products Week. As Perkins was a lumberman, he would no doubt have approved.
