A beautifully bound set in fine condition. Photogravure frontispiece printed on Japanese vellum. A splendid piece of American limited edition publishing for the novels of George Sand, real name Amantine Lucile Aurore Dupin (1804–1876), who is also remembered for her well publicized romantic affairs with a number of artists, including the composer and pianist Frédéric Chopin and the writer Alfred de Musset.
