Signed by the illustrator beneath limitation number Limited Editionn [91/350] Gilt embellished Morrocco/leather cover xxii, 155pp :: 25 captioned tissue-guarded, tipped-in colour plates :: 270mm x 210mm (11" x 8") :: Peter Beckford was the nephew of William Beckford (1709-70), the Jamaican-born Lord Mayor of London. A series of letters that Peter Beckford had written, he collected and published in 1781 as 'Thoughts on Hunting'. The Sporting World journal at that time concluded that he 'was master of the subject on which he wrote'
