Abrahami Gorlaei Antuerpiani Dactyliothecae seu annulorum sigillarium quorum apud Priscos tam Graecos quam Romanos usus, ex ferro, aere, argento & auro promptuarii [. . . .] cum explicationibus Jacobi Gronovii - 2 parts in 1
Lugduni Batavorum - Leyden: Excudit Petrus van der Aa, Bibliop, 1695 [xx], 28, [19], 4-16; 64, 32 pages. With 2 portrait plates, 108 of the 109 plates in the first volume and the full 173 plates in the second volume. Both volumes have additional engraved title pages. The missing plate shows rings 127 and 128 in the first part, the plate showing rings 131/132 is duplicated, so an error when the book was originally bound. In old vellum covered boards, the spine replaced more recently. Boards have a gilt armorial stamped on them - Sigil Guiliel Latton. Ink owner's inscription to the front pastedown and a more modern bookplate. A modern pencil inscription tot he front free end paper. Some pages in the second part and also some of the plates there are browned.. Full vellum. Good.
