Robinson, 1792. 8vo, (iv) + 481 + (i)pp, 3 folding tables at end, contemporary mottled sheep, neatly rebacked to match, spine with gilt lines and old morocco label lettered gilt. A very good copy with the 19th century armorial book label of Robert Burnett.> First edition. The author, who was a retired Customs agent of Leadenhall Street, London, here published a comprehensive, and statistically detailed, account of both the law and the practical administration of the levies, duties, and other charges to which imports and exports were variously subject. Subsequent changes in law and tariffs were published nine years later (1801) in a so-called 'Continuation>'.
