John Murray,, 1925. 8vo., First Edition, with folding map as frontispiece and 14 maps (4 folding;); original regimental burgundy cloth, upper board blocked with crest in gilt and lettered in black, gilt back, cpvers mildly and unevenly sunned, one corner lightly bruised, a very good, bright, clean copy. With 4pp publisher's catalogue bound in at end. The standard history of the regiment in the Great War. 1st and 2nd Bns fought with Guards Division on the Western Front. With a chapter on the Reserve Battalion; includes casualties, strengths and drafts, honours and awards. The work was started by Ewart, but he was killed in Mexico in 1922.
