London; George G. Harrap & Co. Ltd. 1931. Landscape 4to. Original brown cloth-backed buff pictorial boards lettered in black and orange to spine, pictorial endpapers; pp. [ii], 3-71; with 12 fine Art Deco plates by le Mair printed in gentle colours, text leaves surrounded by floral borders; a very good copy with mild rubbing to joints and spine ends and general light abrasion and dust-soiling to boards with tiny wear to corners, internally clean throughout with a few light fox-spots to edges of book block, a couple of unobtrusive, short, and marginal closed tears to top edge of one plate (longest 15mm and now invisibly repaired), a few other minor signs of handling, and a little diffuse and pale foxing to final couple of text leaves. First U.K. edition illustrated by this artist.
