New York: Jonathan Cape & Harrison Smith, 1930. First American Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good binding/Good dust jacket. First published in German the same year, this is a clean copy of the First American Edition of one of the most significant works in the study of modern psychology [see Peter Gay, The Freud Reader, Norton (1989), p. 722]. This copy without marks, and with a dustjacket which as loss to the spine extremities, a bit at the folds of the jacket, and dime-sized piece missing from the front panel, affecting the "C" in the world Civilization. The dustjacket has been price-clipped. Very Good binding / Good dust jacket.
