Published by: Fouquet, Amsterdam. Pierre-Francois Basan (Paris 1723-1797) is a French engraver. He was a pupil of Etienne Fessard and Jean Daulle. He was principally occupied as a printseller, and published a 'Dictionnaire des Graveurs' in 1789. Willem Kalf (1619-1693) was a Dutch Golden Age painter who specialised in still lifes.
